Aviary’s Elegy of the Lark

Willa is our keeper from our very first litter between Waverly (Cimmaron’s Wind River Angel CGC TKI BCAT FITB FTI [CRD CFD] [NA III]) and William (OTCH GCH Am CH RJ’s Sir William the Intrepid Bear FD RE WDJ Am CDX RE). She is a spunky little girl full of mischief and opinions.

Willa is shaping up to have lovely bone and earset, both of which I was hoping to bring in from William in her litter. She also has a bold run and a more independent streak than Waverly in the field. Our current priorities for her include getting her out in the field this fall and working on her water intro for her NAVHDA Natural Ability Test next spring. She is bright and eager to learn, and recently started swimming at ~4 months old. She inherited her mom’s natural drive to retrieve, though she currently also loves a good game of keep away!

For now, we’ll be camping, adventuring, and building puppy confidence. Keep an eye out for Willa in NAVHDA and the AKC and UKC show rings in the coming years!
