Here at Aviary Kennels, our motto is: Trainability, Versatility, Moderation

Aviary Kennels is a small hobby and preservation breeder located in Laramie, Wyoming, that strives to produce conformationally sound, even tempered, biddable bird dogs for hunting, companion, and competition homes. I hope that our dogs are as much a pleasure to live with as they are to hunt with and train.

As a preservation breeder, I am committed to breeding dogs that display both the physical attributes and temperament that go into making each breed unique. The Brittany is, and always has been, a breed of moderation: moderate size, moderate furnishings, and moderate temperament. That was the vision of the American Brittany Club when it was founded, and I hope to maintain it into the future, along with the many other committed dual breeders of this wonderful breed. After my first Brittany, I became enamoured with the reflection of culture and history in our purebred dogs, and I hope to one day become involved in rare breed preservation in addition to Brittanys.

I believe that it is important to support our local and national clubs and stay in touch with our breed communities. I am a proud member of the American Brittany Club and the Skyline Brittany Club. As such, I am committed to the American Brittany Club’s code of ethics and upholding the ABC’s mission: “To promote cooperation and friendship among the breeders and owners of Brittanys and to encourage higher standards in breeding, training and showing of Brittanys in the field and in the show ring; to discourage the breed from becoming split into groups of ‘field dogs’ and ‘show dogs’ and to strive to keep it forever a ‘dual dog.'”
